Urban Development Institute of New Zealand Site Visit
The UDINZ visit to Adaptable Structures.
We had the pleasure of hosting members of the Urban Development Institute of New Zealand at our development site in the early morning for a Q&A about Anyplace and its development.
UDINZ is the peak industry body for urban development in New Zealand. Their members include the developers, planners, financiers, and policymakers who together shape how New Zealand cities grow. Hosting them on site — walking them through the assembly, the joining system, the Payload interior, and the disassembly path — is the most direct way we know to make the case that what we are building is not a model but a production-ready system.
The conversation covered the regulatory pathway in New Zealand, the patent record, the supply chain, and the question every honest urban development professional eventually asks: if this works, why isn't it everywhere? The answer takes longer than a site visit to give properly. But the site visit is where the question starts.
